Terms & Conditions

  1. A deposit of £50 is required to secure booking.
  2. A further £50 damage deposit is added to total booking cost, which will be returned within three weeks of the end of booking, subject to any deductions for damage or loss. We request that guests leave the cabin, within reason, as they found it. Any excessive cleaning charges as a result of failure in this respect will be deducted from damage deposit. We reserve the right to charge a higher deposit for large / single sex parties.
  3. The balance of payment (including £50 addition for damage deposit) being due no later than 4 weeks before the holiday commences. For bookings within 4 weeks of the holiday commencement the full amount is due immediately. Securing deposits are non-refundable. For cancellations within 8 weeks of the holiday, the amount paid (less deposit) will only be refunded if we can re-let the cabin for the length of your booking. No refund will be given if cancellation is within 2 weeks of holiday commencement. We strongly advise you to take out holiday cancellation insurance.
  4. The letting week runs from 4:00pm Saturday to 10:00am the following Saturday (flexible during low season), except for short breaks, dates for which are available on request.
  5. On arrival at Dalavich, you will be directed to your self catering holiday cabin, by our resident representative.
  6. All electricity, eg heating, lighting, cooking and shower, is included in the tariff.
  7. Bed linen, duvets and tea-towels are provided and included in the tariff. Towels are not included, but these can be hired locally if required.
  8. Children’s high-chairs, cots and buggies are not included, but can all be hired locally for a small charge. Please state your requirements at the time of booking.
  9. Up to two well behaved dogs are allowed per cabin. See “Booking & Availability” page for details of additional charge. Dogs must be kept off furniture. Any additional cleaning / repair costs that result from dogs on furniture will be deducted from damage deposit.
  10. Due to strict insurance regulations we must ask you not to smoke or have any naked flames in the cabins.
  11. There are no laundry facilities in the cabin, but a coin operated laundry is available at the community centre for the use of guests.
  12. Short breaks (minimum of three nights) are available, subject to cabin availability and time of year. Please phone for prices.
  13. No liability is accepted by highland-hideaway.co.uk for loss or damage to hirers’ property, including, but not limited to baggage and motor vehicles, however caused; nor for any mishap or accident to persons whilst on the premises. The owners reserve the right to refuse admission, or to terminate the let of any persons who in the opinion of the owners is acting in a dangerous or unruly manner which may cause danger or distress to other holiday makers and residents. In any such case, fees paid will NOT be refunded.
  14. We want your stay in our cabins to be as enjoyable as possible; should you have any special requests with regards to your stay with us, please ask when you book. We will always go “that extra mile” to accommodate your wishes if possible.
  15. Privacy Policy: we do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
  16. Behaviour / conduct: Loch Aweside Forest Cabins site is a place of peace and quiet. Guests are required to adhere to site rules and conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. Anti-social behavior will not be tolerated and Police will be informed of any cases of a breach of the peace. We reserve the right to evict any guests acting in an anti-social way without refund.
